Ormonde Mining announcs drilling results at Barruecopardo
tungsten ball Ormonde Mining plc ("Ormonde"or the "Company") reports highly encouraging results of the Stage 2metallurgical testwork at its Barruecopardo Tungsten Project,Spain. The Company also reports high-grade drilling results showinggood continuity of tungsten mineralisation in an area selected as apossible initial mining block. Metallurgical testwork indicates that the liberationcharacteristics of the tungsten mineralisation are excellent, with high recoveries of tungsten to a gravity preconcentrate beingachieved at coarse crush sizes . The best result has been achieved from the Filon PrincipalZone where gravity tests yielded a recovery of 88% of contained tungsten trioxide(WO3) to a preconcentrate grading 49% WO3. The Filon Central and Filon Maestro Zones have also providedextremely good results with recoveries of 71% to 88% being achievedto a pre-concentrate . These results lead the Company to believe that highrecoveries will be achieved to a final concentrate in a gravityprocessing plant . Six holes were drilled in the area immediately north of thehistoric open pit to better define a possible initial mining blockin the Filon Principal Zone; results show that there is goodcontinuity in the high grade tungsten zones in this area . Numerous high grade tungsten intervals are reported withhighlights including 1.0 metre grading 3.0% WO3, 1.0 metre grading1.8% WO3 and 7 metres grading 0.8% WO3 Kerr Anderson, Managing Director, said: "The latest testwork results are even better than we hadanticipated. The excellent preconcentrate grades and recoveriessuggest that high recoveries will be achieved in a process plantwhen saleable tungsten concentrates are produced. The new drillingresults are also very positive, demonstrating good continuity ofmineralisation in a possible initial mining block in the FilonPrincipal Zone. All drilling results to-date will be included inthe Company's updated resource estimate, which we look forward toreporting by the end of Q2. The results received from ourevaluation activities continue to support the Company's strategy ofmoving to early production and cash flow."
